Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Is there a fee associated with taking these courses online?

No. All courses offered on this site are free to health professionals and to the public. However, specific accrediting bodies may charge a fee for awarding continuing education units (CEUs) for applicable courses. It is recommended that you check with your professional organization prior to doing the course work.

2. Which accrediting body approves the courses for CEUs?

NAADAC - The Association for Addiction Professionals.

3. I am not a member of the accrediting organization listed. Can I still receive credit and a certificate for completing a CEU-rated course?

Yes. However, your certifying/licensing body may or may not accept the hours for credit.

4. Can I print out the entire course and just take the quizzes online?

Yes. You may print the contents of each module to read and then log in to take the quizzes. However, you must print each page individually using your Web browser's print button.

5. Am I required to complete the course in one sitting?

No. All of our online courses are self-administered and self-paced so you can spend as much time as you like for a particular session, log out, and return at your convenience. The system will save where you left off so that you may begin at the same point when returning.

6. Should I sign out or can I just exit the system?

Signing out is important. We recommend that you sign out after each session and not just exit the application or close your Web browser. Signing out allows the database to close properly and to record your progress so the application will be ready for your next session.
